The statement from the CM came a day after SP leader Azam Khan stated that the UP government will soon announce a statue for Lord Ram in Ayodhya.

Latest News: In a veiled reference to the ongoing Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday asserted that wishes of scores of Hindu devotees of building a Ram Temple in Ayodhya will soon come true after Diwali.

Speaking at an event in Bikaner, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, "Light a Diya for Lord Ram this time, work there (Ayodhya) will start very soon. We have to take this up after Diwali."

The statement from the chief minister came a day after Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan stated that the Uttar Pradesh government will soon announce a statue for Lord Ram in Ayodhya.
Speaking to ANI on Saturday, Khan said that Lord Ram's statue, which is likely to be built near the Sarayu river in the temple town, should be constructed taller than the recently-inaugurated 182-meter tall statues of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.

Reportedly, saints in Ayodhya have been pressing for construction of a statue of Lord Ram similar to that of Statue of Unity. Located on Sadhu-Bet Island, Gujarat, the 182-metre tall statue of Unity occupies over 20,000 square metres and is surrounded by a 12 square km artificial lake.

No condom ads from 6 AM to 10 PM; they’re indecent for kids, says Modi govt

it said such advertisements may be telecast between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. to avoid exposure of such material to children.

condom
Business Standard : The government on Monday strictly asked TV channels not to air advertisements selling and promoting condoms because these are “indecent especially for children” and can create “unhealthy practices” among them.
“It has been brought to the notice of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting that some channels carry advertisements of condoms repeatedly which are alleged to be indecent especially for children,” an advisory from the ministry said.
The advisory invoked Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994, banning an “advertisement which endangers the safety of children or create in them any interest in unhealthy practices or shows them begging or in an undignified or indecent manner”.
“In view of the above, all TV channels are hereby advised not to telecast the advertisements of condoms which are for a particular age group and could be indecent/inappropriate for viewing by children. Indecent, vulgar, suggestive, repulsive or offensive themes or treatment shall be avoided in all advertisements.
It said such advertisements may be telecast between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. to avoid exposure of such material to children.
“Any failure will attract action as per provisions of the rules,” said the advisory.
The missive comes after the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) requested the ministry earlier this month to take a call on such ads and their telecast timing.
In September, a condom advertisement featuring Sunny Leone drew protests from a Surat-based group. The ad, which was displayed on hoardings across the city and carried a message in Gujarati “play but with love” was shared on social media by people. City-based group Hindu Yuva Vahini staged a protest at one of the locations where the hoarding was displayed.

Willing to extend all Aadhaar linking deadlines to March 31

Supreme Court has said it will hear Aadhaar pleas after concluding the Delhi-Centre matter

aadhaar
Business News : The Supreme Court on Monday said it would hear a batch of petitions challenging mandatory linking of Aadhaar for granting various services to citizen after its constitution bench concludes hearing the Delhi-Centre dispute.
The Centre, meanwhile, informed the bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra that it was willing to extend up to March 31 next year the deadline fixed for mandatory linking of Aadhaar with various schemes.
The bench, also comprising Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud, said only the Constitution bench will pass an interim order in the matter.
The petitioners challenging the Aadhaar scheme have been pressing for an interim stay order on the government’s decision to make Aadhaar mandatory for welfare schemes.
The apex court is hearing a batch of pleas filed by the Delhi government against the Delhi high court verdict which had held that Delhi is not a state and the Lieutenant Governor (LG) is its administrative head.
On October 30, a bench headed by the CJI had said that a constitution bench would be constituted and Aadhaar-related matters would come up for hearing before it.
The apex court had on November 13 refused to entertain a plea challenging the linking of mobile numbers with Aadhaar, saying several similar petitions were already pending before it.

Latest News -  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday exhorted BJP workers to be the ambassadors of the government and reach out to the people at the grassroots with his "pro-poor" schemes ahead of the February-March assembly polls in five states, including in politically significant Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing the BJP National Executive meet here, Modi said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) doesn't see poor and underprivileged as vote banks because for the party "service to poor is like serving God", according to Law and Justice and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who briefed the media on the Prime Minister's closed door address.
"The poor aren't means for the BJP to win elections, and the party doesn't see them through prism of vote bank politics. My government's priority is to change their quality of life," Modi said.
Prasad said Modi emphasised on the importance of reaching out to the people at the booth level and called on party workers to educate the poor and marginalised sections of the society about the various welfare schemes launched by the union government.
