Sara Tendulkar Stalking : A 27-year-old man from East Midnapore district in West Bengal was on Sunday arrested for allegedly harassing cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara, over the phone, police said.

Deb Kumar Maiti, a resident of Debkundu village near Geonkhali under Mahisadal Police Station, had gone to Mumbai sometime back to visit his elder brother when he somehow got hold of her number, they said.
He then called Sara several times and expressed his desire to marry her, they added.

A case was filed in this regard by the Tendulkar family in Mumbai, but the entire matter was kept secret by the Cyber Cell of the Mumbai Police.

A team of the Mumbai Police early today arrested Maiti near Andulia and later produced him before a court in Haldia, which allowed them to take him to Mumbai on a three-day transit remand, a senior officer of West Bengal police said in Haldia.

The police claimed that during interrogation the man admitted to calling her and also showed them a tattoo bearing Sara’s name on his arm.

Maiti’s neighbours, however, said he was suffering from mental issues from 2007.

Latest News : GVK group-run Mumbai airport has been crowned the world’s busiest airport among the single-runway facilities as it overtakes London’s Gatwick airport, which handles 757 flights a day.
The airport operator and Mumbai air traffic controller (ATC) handle one of the difficult jobs in the world, as every 65 seconds an aircraft either takes off or touches down at the airport, that is, around 837 flights a day. All leading cities like New York, London, Dubai, and Singapore have more than one airport, with multiple runways.

The New Delhi airport has three parallel runways in use at any given time.

Commercial vehicle major Ashok Leyland on Monday launched India’s first Made-in-India electric bus. The company has invested Rs 150-200 crore to develop this.
Ashok Leyland owns an UK firm, Optare, which is a leading alternate technology player, especially in electric bus manufacturer.
“This new series is developed in India and is the next generation technology,” said Vinod K Dasari, managing director.
The vehicle would cost around Rs 1.5-3 crore, depending on the batteries and seats, says company officials. Upfront cost is high, but it can deliver payback to the customer in about four-five years, says Dasari.
Dasari is also hopeful that the government would give subsidy for the vehicle
“The Circuit series of buses is another testament to Ashok Leyland’s commitment to leverage India’s technological innovation to deliver relevant and best-in-class solutions for India and the world,” said Dasari.

Mumbai (82) is India’s most expensive city, followed by New Delhi (130) and Chennai (158), according to the 2016 Cost of Living Survey by Mercer, the New York-based human resource consultancy. Kolkata (194) and Bengaluru (180) are the least expensive Indian cities ranked.
Globally, Hong Kong topped the list of most expensive cities for expatriates, pushing Luanda, Angola, to second position. Zurich and Singapore remained in third and fourth positions, respectively, whereas Tokyo is in fifth, up six places from last year.
New Delhi and Bengaluru have become more expensive, over last year, and their rankings have gone up. The survey said the latter had the highest jump in ranking, on account of a surge in prices, especially on items pertaining to food and personal care. Inflation, among the highest in Indian cities, moved there from 3.27 per cent to 6.08 per cent during this period.
