Currently, the company is working with the dealership to expand its network – it currently has 105 dealerships across the country of which 64 would be operational by December.

California wildfire: Missing list reaches 631, remains of 7 victims found

International News: The number of people listed as missing in one of California's deadliest wildfires skyrocketed to 631, authorities said on Thursday, as the remains of seven additional victims were found by rescuers.

Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said the number of missing had more than doubled during the day as investigators went back and checked emergency calls made when the fire broke out a week ago.
"I want you to understand that the chaos we were dealing with was extraordinary," he told journalists, in explaining the staggering new number.

Paradise, a town of around 26,000 in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, was popular with retirees and many of those reported missing by the sheriff's office are elderly -- in their 70s, 80s and 90s.

Virtually every home in Paradise, located 80 miles (130 kilometers) north of the state capital Sacramento, was destroyed by the fast-moving fire fuelled by high winds.

The "Camp Fire" has ravaged 135,000 acres (54,632 hectares) of land and is 35 per cent contained, according to Cal Fire. It has destroyed some 7,600 homes and 260 commercial properties. Battling the blaze are more than 5,600 fire personnel, some from as far away as Washington state and Texas.

The "Woolsey Fire" has razed 97,620 acres (39,505 hectares) and has been 47 per cent contained. Cal Fire said more than 3,500 fire personnel were battling the "Woolsey Fire," which has destroyed the Malibu homes of several celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Neil Young, Robin Thicke, Shannen Doherty and Gerard Butler.

Cyclone Gaja: Trees uprooted, houses damaged in Tamil Nadu's Nagapattinam, heavy rains lashed in several areas

Electricity supply was disconnected here and in several other coastal regions in view of the cyclone's landfall

Breaking News: Tamil Nadu's Nagapattinam district on Friday woke up to the sight of uprooted trees and damaged houses due to the overnight rainfall and strong winds caused due to cyclone Gaja.

The cyclonic storm crossed Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coast between Nagapattinam and Vedaranniyam on Thursday evening and unleashed mayhem in Tiruvarur and Thanjavur districts as well.

In the wake of the situation, a red alert was issued for the administration in parts of Tamil Nadu to keep the government authorities ready to mobilise resources to meet any eventuality.

Cyclone Gaja Updates

The government undertook several preventive measures, which included deploying National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Tamil Nadu Disaster Response Force (TNDRF), evacuating around 20,000 people living along the coastal line and moving them to relief camps. The Indian Navy has also been put on alert for relief efforts.

Apart from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh was also impacted by the cyclonic storm which is likely to bring heavy downpour and strong winds to several parts of the region for the next couple of days.

A superhero in his own right to Marvel fans around the world, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain and to connect

Stan Lee, who brought a modern sensibility to comic books and provided lucrative fodder for Hollywood as co-creator of such sympathetically imperfect superheroes as Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, X-Men, and Iron Man, has died. He was 95.

From his start as a writer for Timely Comics in 1941, Lee rose to editor and publisher of Marvel Comics. He made his mark starting in the early 1960s by conjuring superheroes with troubled lives and temperamental personalities, a leap from the comic-book characters of the past.

“For once I wanted to write stories that wouldn’t insult the intelligence of an older reader, stories with interesting characterization, more realistic dialogue and plots that hadn’t been recycled a thousand times before,” Lee wrote in his 2002 memoir, Excelsior: The Amazing Life of Stan Lee. He was describing the 1961 creation, with artist Jack Kirby, of the Fantastic Four, the human quartet who gain special powers after being exposed to cosmic radiation.

So pleased was Lee with the quick success of the Fantastic Four that he added to the cover of follow-up issues the slogan, “The World’s Greatest Comic Magazine.”

He followed up by helping create the Incredible Hulk —he said he asked Kirby, “Can you draw a good-looking monster, or at least a sympathetic-looking monster?” —then the Mighty Thor, Iron Man and X-Men in the early 1960s.

California wildfire: 50 dead, thousands of firefighters battle blazes

With hundreds of people unaccounted for, the toll is likely to rise in California

International News: Thousands of firefighters battled blazes in northern and southern California on Tuesday as body recovery teams searched the remains of houses and charred cars for victims of the deadliest wildfire in the history of the US state.

At least 50 deaths have been reported statewide so far from the late-season wildfires, and with hundreds of people unaccounted for, the toll is likely to rise.

Most of the fatalities have been caused by the so-called "Camp Fire" in and around the town of Paradise, population 26,000, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains about 80 miles (130 kilometers) north of Sacramento.

"Today an additional six human remains were recovered, which brings the total to 48. All six of those remains were located in Paradise, and they were located within homes," Sheriff Kory Honea told a news conference.

Another two deaths have been reported from the "Woolsey Fire," north of Los Angeles.

Paradise, which is home to many retirees and has experienced an unusually dry fall, was virtually razed to the ground by the fast-moving "Camp Fire" blaze.

Pakistan says Asia Bibi still in country, reports of her leaving fake news

Chief Justice Saqib Nisar overturned the conviction by the Lahore High Court that had sentenced Asia Bibi, a mother of four, to death in 2010.

International News: Pakistani authorities on Thursday rejected as "fake news" reports that a Christian woman who was released from a jail a week after the Supreme Court overturned her conviction and death sentence for blasphemy has left for the Netherlands.

Asia Bibi, 47, acquitted in the blasphemy case was released, amid nationwide anger, from the jail in Multan on Wednesday midnight.

It was reported in local media that she was taken to Noor Khan Airbase Rawalpindi, from where she would be shifted to the Netherlands.

"Asia Bibi was released from New Jail for Women Multan (some 350 kilometres from Lahore) on Wednesday midnight. She is taken to Noor Khan Airbase Rawalpindi where a chartered plane will take her to the Netherlands," 24News reported on Thursday.

Some other news channels also reported the release of Asia Bibi and her departure for the Netherlands.

However, Foreign Office spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal dismissed reports that the mother of five had left the country.

Health News: With one-in-five deaths associated with poor-quality diets, the UN food agency has said that regularly eating poor-quality food has become a greater public health threat than malaria, tuberculosis or measles.

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) co-authored the report titled 'Preventing nutrient loss and waste across the food system: Policy actions for high-quality diets'.

It urged policymakers to reduce food loss and waste to improve access to nutritious and healthy food as it concluded that regularly eating poor-quality food has become a greater public health threat than malaria, tuberculosis or measles.

Approximately one-third of food produced for human consumption never reaches the consumer's plate or bowl. Nutrient-rich foods, such as fruits, vegetables, seafood and meats are highly perishable, rendering them susceptible to losses throughout increasingly complex food production systems.

Reducing food loss and waste, particularly high-nutrient foods, not only has nutritional benefits, but also contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and should be a new priority for improving nutrition.

Pakistan won the first match in Abu Dhabi by two runs and the second by six wickets in Dubai.

Pakistan Vs New Zealand 2018: Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 47 runs in the third and final Twenty20 international in Dubai on Sunday to claim another clean-sweep in the game's shortest format.

Pakistan were lifted to 166-3 by Babar Azam who made a 58-ball 79 with seven boundaries and two sixes while Mohammad Hafeez hit a 34-ball 53 with four boundaries and two sixes.

When on 48, Azam became the quickest to score 1,000 Twenty20 runs in just 26 innings beating India's Virat Kohli's record by an innings.

"Light a Diya for Lord Ram this time, work on Ayodhya Temple to start after Diwali": Yogi Adityanath

The statement from the CM came a day after SP leader Azam Khan stated that the UP government will soon announce a statue for Lord Ram in Ayodhya.

Latest News: In a veiled reference to the ongoing Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday asserted that wishes of scores of Hindu devotees of building a Ram Temple in Ayodhya will soon come true after Diwali.

Speaking at an event in Bikaner, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, "Light a Diya for Lord Ram this time, work there (Ayodhya) will start very soon. We have to take this up after Diwali."

The statement from the chief minister came a day after Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan stated that the Uttar Pradesh government will soon announce a statue for Lord Ram in Ayodhya.
Speaking to ANI on Saturday, Khan said that Lord Ram's statue, which is likely to be built near the Sarayu river in the temple town, should be constructed taller than the recently-inaugurated 182-meter tall statues of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.

Reportedly, saints in Ayodhya have been pressing for construction of a statue of Lord Ram similar to that of Statue of Unity. Located on Sadhu-Bet Island, Gujarat, the 182-metre tall statue of Unity occupies over 20,000 square metres and is surrounded by a 12 square km artificial lake.

West Indies Tour of India 2018 » The first T20 match between India and West Indies ended on the similar note as it was in the ODIs with India clinching another victory against the visitors at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today.

Batting first, West Indies faced troubles right from the start and wickets kept falling at regular intervals as Indian bowlers continued the assault. Windies scored 109/8 in 20 overs.

India was no excception today, skipper Rohit Sharma was the first to fall, surrendering to Oshane Thomas' pace and Shikhar Dhawan followed him soon.

Debutant Krunal Pandya was in IPL hangover, playing clever shots without much fear and in the process added 21 runs in his teams tally.

For West Indies, Oshane Thomas and Carlos Brathwaite delivered well with the ball, the duo forced the hosts to surrender to their pace and line.

At one time, it looked that India will find it hard to proceed towards victory but it all did not go in West Indies' favor.
